Basics of Social Media for Business
Thursday 5 February, 13:00pm - 14:30pm, ergo Business Centre
Are you ready to make social media work for your business?
This practical and information-rich training session will give you a solid foundation in social media marketing. You’ll leave with real, actionable insights — not just theory — that you can put into practice straight away.
What You’ll Learn
•	Through a tailored learning approach, you’ll discover how to:
•	Understand the key social media platforms and identify which ones best connect you with your ideal audience.
•	Use a Customer Persona Mapping tool (provided for completion after the session) to align your messaging and content with the platforms your customers actually use.
•	Build a strategy that works for your business — focused, achievable, and effective.
Explore the essentials of content creation, from short-form videos and product photography to long-form articles, behind-the-scenes posts, and customer stories. Learn how different types of content perform across platforms and how to tailor your posts to engage your audience.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with:
•	A shortlist of recommended platforms for your business.
•	The beginnings of a personalised social media action plan to elevate your online presence.
This workshop is delivered by Evolve BD on behalf of Hull and East Yorkshire Business Support Services.
