Our March Briefing will feature Mark Williams from Industrial Metal Services: the largest structural steel stockholders and processors in the South East. Their steel is a vital component part on large scale construction, engineering and architectural projects across the country and they are located here in Shoebury.
Given the dependency of this and so many of our key Southend businesses on the road connectivity, we are delighted to announce that there will be a business update from Tim Jones, Project Director, Lower Thames Crossing on the project plans and progress to date. Clearly this is important to many of our Southend businesses, so I am sure you will be interested to hear from them and ask any questions you have. The Lower Thames Crossing Team will be supported by Highways England who will be able to provide an update on major road projects.
Emma Cooney, Director of Regeneration and Business Development at the Council will provide an update on the logistics and infrastructure plans. And the SEAT team will be present both at the event and later in the High St to help and support businesses with their travel plans.
Finally, we will have a marketplace of key business support partners who will be able to provide help and advise to businesses. This will include: Trading Standards and many others.
The Business Briefing will start promptly at 8.30am. However registration will begin from 7.30am, giving you an opportunity to network. The event will finish at 10.00am but there will be further opportunity to network.
