We are delighted to be hosting the next Southend Business Partnership Briefing on Wednesday 14th November @ at the Cliffs Pavilion from 8am. The theme of our event is Youth and Skills and we are delighted to announce our speakers as:
Joanne Giles - Director of Apprenticeships at South Essex College - Joanne will be aiming to demystify the process of adding apprentices to your workforce and demonstrating the value they have brought to business both locally and nationally.
Syrie Cox - Chief Executive of YMCA will be presenting about the work the YMCA does to support young people in the South East with a particular focus on skills development and workforce placement.
Dale Spiby - Chief Executive of Southend United Community Education Trust will be explaining how they use the power of the brand, combined with the positive role models of the players and Manager and the unique hook of football to inspire young people to achieve success in whatever their aspiration may be.
Adam Davis - Palmers Solicitors will be explaining how Palmers has engaged with a range of programmes such as apprenticeships, work experience programmes, Industry Champions and the 60 Minute Mentoring programme to support both his business development and young people across the South East.
Finally, Ali Griffin Chief Executive at Southend on Sea Borough Council will provide an update on the work the council are involved in to support skills development and discuss how business across Southend can get involved.
The Business Briefing will start promptly at 8.30am. However registration will begin from 7.30am, giving you an opportunity for refreshments, to network and to gather information from the range of stall holders in our market area. The event will finish at 10.00am but there will be further opportunity to network.
