Every business needs a plan. This morning explains how to write one.
It starts by defining a business plan, explaining why you need one, and asking who it is for. We discuss the importance of tailoring your plan to the reader – internal and external.
We then go through the essential elements: the executive summary, your value, your product, your customers, your opportunity, your advantage, your marketing, your process, your finances, your achievements, your growth, and your team.
The group discusses what should go in each section of the plan and looks at a number of tools that work as ‘checklists’ to make sure nothing is missed: DEEPLIST, Porter, TOWS, 7Ps and more.
The morning ends with an extended Q&A session.
