What is the event about?
This is event will give you a good understanding about Setting-up your Own Business.
An informal evening full of motivation and inspiration from local entrepreneurs, academics, students and graduates, who will be all sharing their knowledge and experiences about their journey in setting up their own business.
The event will include information about the TechNation 2018 report, stating that Leicester is #No1 for increase in digital business and also there will be a particular focus on the technical innovation landscape in and around Leicester.

Dr Tracy Harwood, Professor of Digital Culture at the Institute of Creative Technologies, De Montfort University
Cultural co-creation and the changing cityscape
The talk will present a case for integrating roles for the arts and culture in our future cities and discuss how emerging technologies may support citizen engagement in the changing urban landscape.
Dr Tracy Harwood’s recent work has explored the roles of technologies, including games as a business strategy, future applications and issues related to the Internet of Things, hyperreal living, and commercial applications of cyborgs. She is the director of Leicester's Art-AI Festival, which took place for the first time in 2018 in venues across the city.

Posie’s passion lies within the intimate apparel sector. She is a lingerie designer dedicated to creating a sustainable future in innovative ways and ensuring ethical production in manufacturing. The brand plans to use the latest technologies to create innovative designs that align with these sustainable principles.
