This working group is being held in association with the Skills Funding Agency (SfA), South East Essex College and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council; and will provide the latest information on the government’s apprenticeship agenda. It will also explore how we can collaborate as employers, maximising the levy and developing a skilled Southend workforce for the future.
Hearing directly from government about their proposals the agenda will include:
o Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) - apprenticeship fees, funding bands, spending funding and targets
o The Levy and digital vouchers
o Standards – for employers and providers
o Procurement
o Schools and the Levy
o Traineeships / routes into apprenticeships
o Suggestions for growing your apprenticeship programme
o Provision of training and how to set up your organisation to deliver apprenticeship training.
Registration will begin at 7.30am with the Working Group event starting at 8.00am to 13.00pm.
This event is aimed primarily at the business community and will include a keynote speakers from an array of sectors including the Skills Funding Agency, panel sessions and a number of workshop and networking sessions to share learning and to explore potential collaboration opportunities.
