The ‘Universities Mean Business’ event, organised in=0D=0A=
partnership with SEMLEP’s Velocity Growth Hub which supports small to=0D=0A=
medium sized businesses across the South East Midlands, is set to take=0D=0A=
place on Wednesday, June 1st and will be hosted by Cranfield University=0D=0A=
near Milton Keynes. =0D=0A=
An expert panel from universities in the=0D=0A=
South East Midlands – Cranfield University, The Open University, The=0D=0A=
University of Northampton, University of Buckingham, University of=0D=0A=
Bedfordshire and UCMK – will cover topics including Smart Cities,=0D=0A=
technology, cyber security, lean management and people and productivity. =0D=0A=
The=0D=0A=
Universities will emphasise their potential as well as desire to=0D=0A=
support local businesses in becoming more competitive and innovative.=0D=0A=
Delegates, expected to be largely small and medium sized companies, will=0D=0A=
also learn how best to connect and extract value from knowledge=0D=0A=
transfer opportunities and about new funding opportunities, innovation,=0D=0A=
collaboration, entrepreneurship and growth.
