Every staff member who works with food has the responsibility of ensuring the safety of children and staff by practicing the highest standard of food safety.
Our Environmental Health Officers highly recommend that candidates refresh their Food Safety qualification every three years to ensure knowledge and skills are kept up-to-date and to account for any changes in legislation and practice.
Description
This course is specifically for anyone working in catering who prepares, cooks and directly handles food.
This one-day course is Ofqual accredited and is specifically designed to cover the essentials of food safety. It includes:
An Introduction to food safety and the law
The Food Hygiene Rating scheme and how to achieve the highest rating of 5
An In-depth understanding of food safety risks
The 4 C's of Cooking, Cooling, Cleaning and Cross Contamination
The importance of record keeping and making checks
Guidance on HACCP and safety procedures
