The pandemic has had a dramatic impact on the way
consumers shop for food, increasing the need for a longer shelf life. Neil
Hansford, food technical engineer, discusses how gas flushing, with its ability
to extend shelf life by up to 500% can be a useful tool for helping food
producers address the need for a longer shelf life and reduced food waste.
This presentation is delivered in partnership with Business Gateway Growth Hub and
the Food and Drink Forum and is part-funded by the European Regional
Development Fund. Places are limited and priority will be given to trading
SMEs based in Leicester and Leicestershire.
