As part of the Visit Swale familiarisation trip roll out Gareth and Georgina Fulton have offered to host a visit by Swale tourism businesses, environmental stakeholders and representatives at Elmley Nature Reserve.
Timetable:
12:30pm - Welcome to Elmley in the Barn by Georgina and or Gareth Fulton and Visit Swale.
12.45pm - Light lunch and networking in the Barn
1.00pm - 2pm Trips in groups around the Farmhouse and alternative accommodation available at Elmley.
At this point tourism businesses have the opportunity to leave or stay to contribute to the Swale Green Grid Forum and take the additional optional tour of Elmley Nature Reserve from 3pm.
2pm - 3pm Swale Green Grid Forum Meeting in the Barn. An opportunity to hear from Swale Borough Council and other environmental stakeholders about projects being delivered across the Swale area. Plus as part of 'Earth Day' the latest on an action plan to support the Climate Change and Ecological Emergency declared by Swale Borough Council in 2019.
An update on the Sheppey England Coastal Path will also be provided by Natural England.
3pm Optional tour of Elmley Nature Reserve
3.pm - 3.30pm Final opportunity to network for those not moving on to the tour of the nature reserve.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Although this is being offered to all delegates as a free event. Due to staff and catering costs which will be confirmed and paid in advance by the Council, cancellations after 14 April will be charged at £15 per person
