Theme: UK industry faces significant challenges to decarbonise whilst remaining competitive since many industrial commodities are traded in competitive international markets. There are several market, policy, and regulatory (MPR) risks and challenges impeding the uptake of these novel technologies and restricting regional economic transformation.
The objectives of this event are to:
- Analyse the opportunities, benefits, and disadvantages presented by targeted technologies in the Solent.
- Identify risks and barriers hindering the deployment of said technologies considering the MPR dimensions, with a particular focus on local engagement.
- Develop recommendations on enabling actions for policy makers, regulators, and businesses to maximise the potential benefits from deployment in the Solent.
This event will be delivered by Dr Thomas Rushby, Dr Lindsay-Marie Armstrong, Professor Craig Hutton and Grace Compton from the University of Southampton.
THIS EVENT IS FOR MEMBERS OF THE SOLENT CLUSTER ONLY.
